Bio : Born August 6, 1973, to a Japanese father and German mother in New York city, Asia Carrera had an impressive scholastic record and overly oppressive parents. She ran away from home at seventeen, was caught and placed in a foster home, ran away again on her eighteenth birthday and this time stayed hidden until the start of her freshman year of college. Asia Carrera admits that she attended college just to have a place to stay and tended bar for extra cash. Asked to serve drinks topless at a private party, she accepted, drank a little courage and ended up dancing on the bar with the strippers. When the night was over she was so impressed by the money she'd made - all of $300 - that she got jobs at all the local go-go bars, soon becoming one of the highest paid dancers in New Jersey. In order to get movie and magazine jobs she sent her photos to as many adult magazines as she could.
